Stuffed albino mink

What is the best deal or most unique item you have ever found at a rummage sale? Here are some more of the responses we received on our Rummaging with Ryan contest entry blanks:

Arlette, Thief River Falls, MN  “I went to a rummage sale and found a real stuffed albino mink.  It made me think about my dad and his hunting so I bought it.  When I came home – I found my dad’s name was on it – it was his!”

Bonnie, Grand Forks  “Bought a purse for $1 – 2-3 months later went to use it and found $14 and a nice pair of earrings”

Dan, Baudette, MN  “Found a .25-cent rabbit worth $50!  Love sales – we go every day – our house is full of treasures”

Wendy, Karlstad, MN  “Paper cutting board for $1″

Rose, Buxton, ND  “Prehistoric thermos.  Royal blue and white palid.  Body was thick pressed cardboard held a quart jar.  Lid with 2″ overlap fit tight.  Two old ladies cleaned their basement thermos smelled musty”

John, Grand Forks  “Village People 8-track – $1 – priceless!”

Lynn, Karlstad, MN  “A set of bunk beds for FREE!  We loaded them up in our van and drove 350 miles really cramped for space!”

Inez, Grand Forks  “At the Senior Citizen’s Center, I bought a large glass jar full of turkey wishbones!!!  I paid .10-cents for it.  I’m always looking for gag gifts!”

Julie, Halma, MN  “A dress that I ended up wearing at my niece’s wedding.”

Ethel , Reynolds, ND  “Small apron – too small for me.  The grandkids wore it out.  Later on my sister sewed one like it to fit me.”
